01 / The early years

Talent
before words.

Born in Naples and raised in Casoria, Vincenzo Sorrentino showed remarkable absolute pitch from childhood. At just nine years old, he was admitted to the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, where he trained in the Vincenzo Vitale piano school under Loredana Marino.

After graduating in piano, he completed a second-level academic degree in music and composition. Writing soon became the heart of his artistic research: from piano to orchestra, chamber music and electronics, through to film scores.
